Jim's "John Deere" life began at a young age watching his Dad restore a tractor and plow that he used in his early years farming. Jim learned to "fix" early on as tractors and equipment would often break down. His mechanical abilities continued to grow throughout his 42 years of farming and ranching. He was then excited to start his retirement life of restoring machinery that had been sitting in the trees for years. Getting them to run is his first task, and then the beautification follows. There are always challenges, but working through them has kept him in good shape, physically and mentally.
